4.28.19- Messy Stuff 1
Use the following thoughts and questions to have a spiritual conversation as a family. Don’t emphasize having the right answer, but focus on spending time discussing the Word as a family.
Psalm 139:13-16
God made us each uniquely good.
What are some things that you think make you unique?
Have you ever been called something that made you question your value? What was it?
Is it ever hard to believe that God puts so much value in you?
What is one way, I, as your parent, can help you remember how valuable you are to me? What is something that I do that makes you feel special?
What makes us unique is not the individual characteristics that we hold, but it is the creative God who knit those things together. Find some fun online quizzes to take together (ie. What house would you be sorted into in Harry Potter? or Which Stranger Things character are you, etc). Note: You will probably want to prescreen the content. Compare and contrast the accuracy of these quizzes. Spend some time laughing together and talking about their unique qualities.
